Goodbye Tumblr
I do not make text posts. I have been strictly an aesthetic tumblr for years. I have been on here for years. Through my fandom phase, my hipster phase, my pale phase, my rosy phase, etc. I have been with you tumblr. But tumblr, you have proven you are NOT with us. On December 17th, there will be no more adult content allowed on tumblr. Though being upset seems overdramatic, it’s much deeper than that. Tumblr was supposed to be where so many people felt safe and able to be themselves. Erasing the work of millions of artists, sex workers, writers, anyone, seems the furthest thing from the right way to handle everything. I don’t feel it’s worth it anymore to put so much more time and effort into a website that has repeatedly show it is NOT for its users. I didn’t think the one place that was accepting, would ruin itself. This is a very big mistake. Sex is NOT wrong. Sex is not taboo, or a sin, or disgusting. Plummeting us back into the 1940s will NOT fix the problem. Sad to see this site ruin itself. Maybe one day it’ll be back to how it was.
